Was wondering if there's a way to filter fics so we see only fics with at least X number of kudos for every chapter.
So if X=100 then
A fic with 5 chapters and 520 kudos will show but a fic with 3 chapters and 120 kudos won't.
Just went through 100+ pages of fic and it was exhausting - it would make getting into new fandoms with boatloads of fic easier.

It's also a flawed system, especially for chaptered fics (which usually get more hits as they're updated), but I like it for newer fics and oneshots. Probably not the most useful for diving into a fandom, though :(

Date: 2014-11-05 01:20 pm (UTC)The problem is some fics have a single novel length chapter while other fics are split into 10+ chapters (especially WIPs). So it gets harder to compare a 10 chapter fic with 1200 kudos and a 22 chapter fic with 1800 kudos, and a 9 chapter fic with 1000 kudos. I've found kudos per chapter works well as a rule of thumb no matter the fic age or status or length.
I've found kudos/hits less reliable since it doesn't apply to older fic and WIPs so its useless in deep dives. It would work for new fic, but in that case 99% of the time I'm checking ao3 on my phone instead of the PC - scripts like kudos/hits don't work. And anyway, looking more for a script I can use for older stuff (100 pages into a tag)
