I've already submitted a request for help to Support, but I figured that I'd ask in case anyone has any tips immediately!
My exchange's sign-ups open today, but no one can sign-up.
The problem is that "I don't know if it is just me but I'm logged into my AO3 account and the sign up option isn't appearing in the top right or in the bar on the left. I just have the button for a sign up summery which it can't load as 5 people haven't signed up." and I've confirmed it on my non-collection maintainer AO3 account.
I'm waiting to hear from Support, but I have no idea what's going on. Here's my collection's profile page.

Any idea what might have gone wrong?
edit - I tried setting the collection to 'open' and the problem seems to be persisting. :(
Setting the collection to 'open' brings up the 'post to collection' button, but not the 'sign-up' button. :(

edit #2 - FIXED! The collection *cannot be moderated* in order for the 'Sign-up' button and 'Sign-up Form' links to appear. This does appear to be a bug/unintended design issue, so I'm sending in a report to Support tonight. :)

Date: 2012-01-15 08:39 pm (UTC)Thank you so much for responding. Unfortunately, the problem seems to be persisting after I set the collection to open. D:
I just checked that clicking the 'Open' link next to 'Sign-up'. It will take me to the sign-up page, using my non-Boundbooks AO3 account. Setting the collection to 'open' brings up the 'post to collection' button, but not the 'sign-up' button. :(

So, the collection is currently set-up to be open *and* I can access the sign-up page through the 'Open' link, but I still can't see the buttons. :(
Thank you so much for taking a loot at my problem, I do appreciate it! :D

Date: 2012-01-15 08:44 pm (UTC)ETA: And then if I "Leave" the exchange after having clicked through the "Open", now I see an explicit Sign Up link. Not sure if you fixed a setting or if a certain page-view sequence is needed.

Date: 2012-01-15 08:37 pm (UTC)Also, me and my co-mod ran into this issue with our gift exchange. You'll also want to uncheck the box for 'This collection is moderated' if you want fics posted to your collection to remain anonymous and unrevealed.

Date: 2012-01-15 08:45 pm (UTC)Taking the collection OFF of moderated opens up the sign-up links. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. THE COLLECTION IS STILL CLOSED! XD BUT TAKING IT OFF MODERATED FIXES IT! XD

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Date: 2012-01-15 09:27 pm (UTC)I'm submitting a documentation of my problem to AO3 tonight, and since it involved the moderated button and gift exchanges, I thought I'd mention the problems that you ran into as well?
"You'll also want to uncheck the box for 'This collection is moderated' if you want fics posted to your collection to remain anonymous and unrevealed."
Was the problem that:
1) Fics could not be posted, if the collection was moderated, anonymous and unrevealed?
2) Fics could be posted if the collection was moderated, anonymous and unrevealed, but would be revealed and de-anonymized?
3) Something else? :)

Date: 2012-01-15 09:32 pm (UTC)The issue that we ran into was #2. So if the collection was set to moderated, the fics would be posted to AO3 but they were not anonymous or unrevealed (per the collection settings). So one of the fics for our gift exchange was open to the public (and even received comments) before we realized the problem.

Date: 2012-01-15 10:04 pm (UTC)Thanks for more info! It sounds like I will have to report that the 'moderated' selection has it out for gift exchanges in general. XD
