jamethiel: A pink lotus flower (LotusFlower)

Hi everyone

I was wondering if anyone knew of a script to replace a particular word with another one on AO3? (eg., rediculous with ridiculous). I've been looking with no luck thus far. Anyone got any ideas?

If you're using Firefox, try FoxReplace: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/foxreplace/

You can set the changes to apply only on certain sites, so it could be limited to the AO3 (useful for people who, say, want to replace the names of the characters in an Any Two Guys AU with their own OTP), or you can let it apply everywhere (so typos won't annoy you on other websites either).

I'm sure there's a Chrome add-on available that does the same thing. Less sure about other browsers, but if you're on Safari or something, it can't hurt to look.

Maybe something like zensurf? You can go into the text file and add anything you want the script to change or delete anything you don't want it to change so long as you keep the "WordIDontWantToSee":"WordIWantToSeeInstead", format. And then under the script settings set the included pages to "http://archiveofourown.org/*" and "https://archiveofourown.org/*" if you only want those words replaced on AO3.
