I prefer the threading for everything else, so I don't want to turn it off. I just wish I understood why sometimes it threaded and not other times. At least if there was one thread per story, that would make it easier to count up, but instead it's just totally random.

Yeah, I write mostly short fics and mostly in smaller fandoms, so the only reason I have even as many kudos as I do is because I have so many fics posted on AO3, so it evens out to about 2 kudos per fic (though obviously there are some that get many more than that, just as there are quite a lot that still have none).
